The official park description lists shelters, woodland furniture, fire pits, rubbish bins, and outdoor toilets. This is enough to sit at a table, prepare food, and spend several hours by the water, although free places may be occupied at weekends.
Exact-site photographs show a broad, long timber shelter with a wooden-shingle roof, many simple tables and benches around a large grassy clearing, and a low T-shaped platform beside the Būka. One place description imprecisely calls it a pier to a lake, although the official identity and photographs place it on the river, not a separate lake.
The facilities are simple and public. Electricity, showers, a drinking-water tap, and food service are not confirmed, so prepare independently for an overnight stay and do not mistake the site for a commercial campground.
A free place for an overnight tent stay
The official Aukštaitija National Park portal states that Ineigos Campsite is free and that visitors who wish to stay overnight may do so. This allows a simple tent stay, but it does not reserve a table, shelter, or part of the clearing.
For an overnight visit, bring a tent, sleeping bag, food, drinking water, light, first-aid supplies, and rubbish bags. An outdoor toilet and fire pit do not replace other campground facilities, so assess your preparation realistically.
Use only the designated fire pits, protect nearby trees, and put the fire completely out before leaving. During drought or high forest-fire danger, follow additional park and fire-safety instructions.
The Būka works for the start or a stop on a water trip
The campsite's position beside the Būka suits water travellers: you can begin or finish a day by the river, organise equipment, and rest in the woodland setting. Before launching, check the current water level, obstacles, and exit points for the exact section you have chosen.
Current official park planning material routes a water trail through Lake Utenykštis, the Būka River, and lakes Baluošas, Baluošykštis, and Sravinaitis. Ineigos can be a start or stop on that journey, but distance, duration, and difficulty depend on the chosen section, water level, and weather.
Use water-safety precautions by the river and low platform: keep children within reach, wear a life jacket in a canoe or boat, and postpone the trip during strong wind or high water. The Būka is narrow and reed-lined here, so obstacles and current conditions can change.
Plan the access and follow park rules
The campsite is accessible by car, but the final approach follows a forest road. Rain, frost, or forestry work can worsen the surface, so drive slowly, keep the car off the grass, and do not block access for other vehicles.
Allow two to four hours for a day visit if you want to sit in a shelter, reach the water, and leave the fire-pit area tidy. A water trip or tent stay needs a full day and extra planning for food, water, and dry clothing.
