A nursery, not a public botanical garden
Vėžaičiai Plant Nursery is a commercial growing and retail site in Nausodis village, Vėžaičiai Eldership. Visitors can choose plants, ask about planting and care, and collect orders, but it is not a ticketed botanical garden or a permanent visitor trail.
The purpose is therefore different from a manor or park. Visitors move among rows of plants grown for sale, compare their forms and sizes, and ask how well a specimen may suit Lithuania's climate. The display and visible stock change with the season and sales.
Finding the nursery
The address is Mokyklos g. 19, LT-96215, in Nausodis village near Vėžaičiai. From the centre of Vėžaičiai, drive past the school stadium and along Mokyklos Street; wooden owl gates help identify the final turn to the site.
After entering through the gates, keep right. Check the road surface and gate access before setting out.
What is grown here
The nursery grows plants with a closed root system, so they can be selected and planted at different times of year when weather and soil conditions allow. The range includes conifers, shrubs, flowering plants and rarer specimens of interest to dendrology enthusiasts.
