The present stone-masonry church was built in 1825
The present Sudeikiai Church was built in 1825 as a stone-masonry building with a Classicist composition and a Baroque pediment treatment. The restrained volume, pilaster rhythm and symmetrical facade differ from large Neo-Gothic or tower-dominated urban churches.
The local religious history began before this building: a chapel burned around 1800 and a temporary church was built in 1806. The 1825 structure continued an earlier place of worship.

The wooden roof turrets with crosses were installed in 1917 and the church was repainted in 1933. These small but visible details keep the facade from being read as an abstract Classicist form alone.
The church was damaged in 1944 and repaired after the war; the Baroque pediment had been restored by 1955. The present facade reflects both survival and later repair.
