Bridvaišis
A protected glaciokarst lake hollow
Bridvaišis belongs to the lake chain of Tytuvėnai Regional Park. The landscape reserve protects its glaciokarst hollow, a pronounced glaciofluvial marginal ridge and surrounding wooded wetland complexes.
This explains why the shore is not uniformly developed. Islands, wet woodland habitats and natural banks are part of the site's value, so use designated recreation areas rather than forcing a path through sensitive vegetation.
A 1.5-hectare public beach
The official recreation area in southern Tytuvėnai covers about 1.5 ha. Listed facilities include a jetty with diving platform, changing cabins, benches, sandpit, volleyball courts, barbecue stand, picnic table, toilets and a car park.
Facilities may be repaired or not yet prepared for the season, so assess actual conditions on arrival. Dive only where permitted and after checking the water depth, and never leave children unsupervised near the lake.
Accessibility and a 3.3 km route along the lake
The main beach has a pontoon adapted to help a person with reduced mobility board a boat, plus two accessible outdoor toilets. This does not mean that every natural shore or recreational-path surface is step-free.
The Žemaitija Protected Areas Directorate gives the Lake Bridvaišis trail a length of 3.3 km. This page's coordinate marks the official recreation area, a useful orientation point, but check current waymarking and surface conditions before attempting the full circuit.
Swimming, water quality and seasonal change
The beach is free and has no ticket office, but water quality, diving-platform access and lifeguard presence are changeable seasonal information. Check municipal testing and signs at the beach before swimming.
Do not enter the water after storms, during algal blooms or when signs prohibit bathing. Use fire and barbecue facilities only in designated places, remove rubbish and keep noise away from islands and natural shores.
