Beržyno Park is Prienai's everyday green space
Beržyno Park lies beside the Prienai pond, reached by the town's pedestrian and cycle path. It is not an enclosed attraction with one gate, so the coordinate should be understood as a park point near Statybininkų Street rather than as a car park or sole entrance address.
The setting combines water, birches, open lawns, resting areas and active recreation spaces. Its strength is a simple town walk rather than a ticketed exhibition: come for a slower circuit, watch the pond and assess whichever facilities are operating on the day.
How Beržyno Park got its name
In 2020 the Prienai District Municipality council approved the name Beržyno Park. Before that decision, local usage included Beržynas, Stadium Park and Kareivinės Park. Older maps and local conversations may use another name for the same green space.

The pond fountain is the clearest visual focus
A broad water fountain rises from the Beržyno Park pond, with its spray forming the main summer landscape view. Operation depends on season, technical condition and weather, so a fountain visible in a photograph is not a guarantee that it will run on every visit.
The pond is a good place to pause beside the path, but it is not a designated swimming area. Depth, lifeguard cover and permission to swim are not established, so keep children close and do not enter the water.
The solar-energy station shows how the park's infrastructure changes
A solar-energy station was installed in Beržyno Park in October 2025, with phone charging, a bicycle pump, wireless internet, Bluetooth and lighting functions. Their operation depends on technical condition, so check what is working on arrival.
The unit is one example of park renewal, not a separate visitor building. Use only sockets and controls that are clearly working, keep charging cables off the path and do not dismantle the structure. If it is not working, report the problem rather than trying to repair municipal equipment yourself.
An open park and changing facilities shape the visit
Because Beržyno Park has no general ticket or gate-controlled opening time, start at the pond and follow the paths around the green spaces. Forty-five minutes is enough for a short circuit; allow up to 90 minutes if you want to pause by the water, use recreation areas or walk without hurrying.
The park's facilities are practical rather than formal: use the paths, resting places, fountain and active-recreation areas that are operating on the day. Equipment may be seasonal or temporarily closed for maintenance.
