What Tamsu Baisu is
Tamsu Baisu is a hide-and-seek-in-the-dark experience at Šeimyniškių g. 5A in Vilnius. In a roughly 200 m² space, a team moves through a labyrinth of padded walls, tackles the chosen scenario, and agrees on its next move without being able to see the surroundings normally.
It is not a conventional escape room filled with bright puzzles, nor is it a permanent horror attraction. There are 11 scenarios: eight in complete darkness, two with red twilight, and one with partial light.
Choose a scenario, check its age label, and book a date and time before arriving.
Scenarios and team formats
The game format can be chosen according to the group's mood and the scenario description. Listed options include team versus team, team versus character, team versus team versus character, and team versus artificial intelligence.
Some scenarios are adventure themed and three are described as horror scenarios. Horror identifies the game's theme; read the particular content and age guidance before making a booking.
Scenarios carry N10+, N12+, or N18+ labels. An age label is more than decoration: it helps a group choose an appropriate intensity, and the operator's conditions for minors should be checked before the visit.
Staying safe in the dark
Before play, participants receive a briefing, protective glasses, and helmets, while the labyrinth uses soft wall surfaces. Camera monitoring lets staff follow the situation, and a player can leave the space at any time if that feels safer.
In darkness, move slowly, communicate with the team, and follow the game master's directions. Running, pushing, or climbing on the walls can create risks that neither a helmet nor a padded surface removes.
Visitors with specific health or accessibility needs should ask the operator before booking about the intensity of the scenario, exits, and possible adjustments.
Booking and the visit flow
Tamsu Baisu is visited by booking: the reservation selects a date, time, and scenario, followed by confirmation by email. A private group can make the game part of a birthday, team, or friends' gathering, but the operator confirms capacity and any package details.
Allow roughly 30 minutes for the cloakroom, preparation, and briefing and about 60 minutes for the game itself. Timing can vary with the scenario and the group's preparation.
Permanent public opening hours are not a reliable guide because the venue works around booked sessions. Check the current price, available times, age label, and any party-room option on the venue website before paying.
A dark-space experience in Vilnius
The experience suits visitors who want to navigate through sound, touch, and team communication rather than by looking at museum objects. For that reason, plan Tamsu Baisu as one booked activity and leave time to arrive and begin without rushing.
The Energy and Technology Museum, Vilnius Museum of Illusions, MO Museum, and TV Tower are separate city destinations with their own tickets and opening arrangements. They can extend a day plan, but none is part of a Tamsu Baisu ticket or venue.
If a group includes more sensitive participants, discuss the theme and the N10+, N12+, or N18+ label in advance. A good visit depends less on how dark the room is than on whether everyone understands the rules and can stop the game freely.
