Raseiniai Rasupis Park, Raseika Park
The pond and rotunda form the park's visual centre
Rasupis Park is organised around its pond. A wooden rotunda stands on a small island reached by a narrow footbridge, while walking paths follow the shore. Water, a fountain, and the pavilion's reflection create the park's most recognisable view.
The rotunda is a short stopping point rather than an event hall or enclosed café. Pass carefully on the bridge, avoid blocking it for photographs, and keep children away from railings. Timber can be slippery after rain and in winter.
From playgrounds to a concrete skate plaza
Separate play areas and a modern concrete skate plaza occupy the park. Slopes, ledges, rails, and other obstacles are used by skateboarders, scooter riders, inline skaters, and BMX cyclists. Pedestrians should never cross active riding lines.
The official regional listing presents the facility as open to residents at any time. Admission is free, but use obstacles within your ability, wear a helmet and protection, and supervise small children away from fast riders.
A botany classroom and the park's soundscape
The botany classroom makes this more than a walking park. Plantings, trees, and the pond edge support outdoor lessons, while information boards introduce the Šaltinis quarter, town symbols, and the legend of Magdė of Raseiniai. Treat Magdė as local folklore rather than a documented biography.
In 2025, Raseiniai Library organised a soundscape workshop here in which pupils separated birds, wind, and human noise. It is a useful clue: for the quietest experience, choose an early morning near the pond and denser planting rather than the sports area.
Café, jetties, and practical access
Small boat jetties sit on the shore, while the municipality leased part of a terrace and paved area for a seasonal café. Its name, season, and opening times can change, so never rely on food service being available on every visit.
The park itself is a free open urban space without gates or a ticket office. Main paths suit a short walk, although real accessibility depends on the chosen entrance, surface condition, and footbridge. Park only in marked places and keep vehicles off park paths.
Rasupis Park within historic Raseiniai
The park is close to the Raseiniai church and former Dominican monastery, making it easy to combine the pond with central architecture. Information boards connect the renewed landscape with the older memory of the Šaltinis quarter.
With limited time, circle the pond, cross to the rotunda, and return through the planted area. Allow longer with children or sports equipment, and assess distance and safe crossings before continuing into the centre on foot.
