The timber church and bell tower form one ensemble
The single-nave church at 3 Bažnyčios Street is built of pine logs, clad in vertical yellow boards, and covered by a red roof with a small ridge turret. Its modest scale and Baroque interior belong to Lithuania's folk sacred-architecture tradition.
A detached three-storey wooden bell tower stands in the churchyard. It contains a bell cast in Warsaw in 1852 and associated with Antanas Zvolinskis; church, tower, and grounds are treated as one destination.
The dates 1754 and 1840 describe different stages
The first wooden cemetery chapel was built in 1754. The present structure took shape around 1840, when the earlier chapel was enlarged, so the two dates do not indicate two churches standing today.
The church was repaired in 1891 and 1939; its single-nave interior contains a Baroque setting and a four-column Holy Cross altar.
