The operator's current rules give the same address, 4 Salos Street, and identify UAB Zarasų laisvalaikio centras as the operator. Together these details establish continuity at one site, although no dependable official source giving the precise date of the name change was found.

The venue is on Great Island in Lake Zarasas, but it does not occupy the whole island. The public beach, paths, amphitheatres, and meadows form a wider municipal leisure area. Zarasai Observation Circle stands on the town shore, while the beach and outdoor diving pool at Lake Zarasaitis belong to a different lake.

How the six-tower full-circuit cable works

Wake Inn Zarasai advertises a full-circuit system with six towers and eight tow carriers. Unlike a straight two-tower cable, it follows a closed loop, allowing riders to move through different sections at intervals controlled by the operator. Riders start from the designated platform; after a fall, release the handle and swim toward the nearest marked exit.

The course description claims 15 features, yet the list on that same page is shorter: four kickers of different sizes plus the 21 m Roof Top, 20 m Fun Box I, 15 m Ride on Handrail, 10 m 3D Incline, 12 m Stacked Box, 20 m Fat Pipe I, 23 m Bowl 2 Banana Transfer Box, and a 12 m Simon Pettai signature feature. The page's search description gives another count, while its English version says 14. The exact number prepared on any particular day is therefore not consistently documented.

Exit pontoons and paths around the circuit reduce the distance a fallen rider must swim. They do not remove the requirement to be a competent swimmer or the need to watch other riders, cables, and approaching handles. For a novice, a clear briefing and controlled first start matter more than the headline feature count.

Safety rules for beginners, children, and equipment

The official rules require every participant to know how to swim and to wear a helmet and buoyancy vest throughout the water activity. Visitors may bring suitable equipment or use gear issued or rented by the operator, but the main tariff clearly itemises only board and wetsuit rental. Before paying, ask whether the helmet and vest are included and which sizes are available that day.

A visitor younger than 14 may use the venue only with a parent, guardian, or another adult who accepts responsibility. Young people aged 14-17 may attend without an accompanying adult only by bringing a newly signed parental or guardian consent for each visit. The operator may also restrict participation according to age, physical characteristics, ability to control the equipment, and rules for an individual feature.

No universal minimum age or height for wakeboarding is published. The age-six statement on the operator's page belongs to the separate Water Inn inflatable park and cannot automatically be applied to the cable. Confirm a child's swimming ability, supervision, lesson, and equipment directly with staff.

After a fall, release the handle, look behind, and leave the riding line by swimming to the nearest pontoon as instructed. The rules prohibit participation while intoxicated and with open wounds or infectious disease; discuss medical conditions, previous injuries, and any other concern before starting. Secure glasses with a strap and leave jewellery and valuables ashore.

2026 prices and activities charged separately

On the official Zarasai page updated in April 2026, one hour on the wake cable cost EUR 20 and two hours EUR 25. The EUR 35 all-day ticket was available only to riders bringing their own equipment, while a season pass was listed at EUR 650. Board rental cost EUR 5 for one hour or EUR 8 for two hours, and the same amounts were shown for a wetsuit. Prices and inclusions can change, so check the official page before travelling.

Paddleboard rental was listed at EUR 10 per hour and EUR 50 per day, but the day rate was accompanied by an unclear weekday note. Do not interpret it without confirmation. Ask on which days the rate applies, when equipment must be returned, and whether all safety items are included.

Water Inn Zarasai is a separately ticketed inflatable obstacle activity in the same complex, not part of the wakeboarding price. The Lithuanian page listed both of its zones at EUR 10 for 50 minutes, while the same operator's English page displayed EUR 12 and a different session timetable. Because of this conflict, confirm the live price and the age rule for the chosen zone before buying.

Opening hours, registration, and weather

The current Lithuanian Zarasai page does not provide a consistent daily timetable for the wake cable. Its English version displays 10:00-20:30, but also retains an old season-closed notice, and its Water Inn session times differ from the Lithuanian version. A search card or one language version is therefore insufficient evidence that the course will operate on a particular day.

The link labelled riding registration opens a participant profile and rules-acceptance form requesting contact details, a photograph, an emergency contact, and acknowledgement of the rules. It is not a clear date-and-time booking calendar. Tickets can be bought at the on-site cashier, but before a long journey call +370 638 88840 to confirm the season, hours, queues, instruction, and whether the chosen activity needs a separately confirmed slot.

The operator may suspend activity because of high wind, thunderstorms, technical faults, or other unsafe conditions. The rules state that when a stoppage is outside the operator's control, time may not be recalculated and payment may not be refunded. They describe a ticket transfer as possible at least 48 hours before the selected time, while voluntary cancellation is non-refundable. Read the version in force before purchase.

Reaching Great Island and understanding the complex

A bridge and Salos Street connect Great Island with the town. The municipality identifies the main public car park at 3 Pakalnės Street before the bridge, while the island has a renewed access road, turning area, paths, and lighting. This does not guarantee a space beside the sports venue. Traffic can be controlled during festivals and competitions, so follow temporary signs and the operator's arrival instructions.

At the same 4 Salos Street complex, the municipality lists the wakeboard cable, inflatable water zones, paddleboard and sports-equipment rental, cafés, terraces, a sandy beach, and sports courts. These services do not necessarily share one ticket or one timetable. Confirm food, showers, toilets, lockers, changing facilities, and access for a non-participating companion against your specific booking rather than relying on the complex's general list.

Great Island remains a public walking destination when the water park is closed, but its public beach is not a swimming lane through the wakeboard circuit.
