The park stands at 4 J. Janonio Street in the centre of Kačerginė. Groups of mature linden trees frame open lawns, while pale paved paths intersect and curve around the central space. The layout works equally well for a short circuit or a quiet pause on a shaded bench.

No single monument dominates the park. Its character comes from several smaller elements: a pavilion, benches, sculptures, play equipment, and stands used for temporary outdoor exhibitions. Official sources do not state the park's area, so claims about an exact size would be speculative.

A practical stop for families, quiet breaks, and cyclists

Children have a dedicated play area, while adults can sit nearby or watch from the adjoining paths. Open lawns provide room to rest, but official park descriptions do not list fire pits, so visitors should not plan to light a fire here.

The Marvelė-Kačerginė-Zapyškis cycle path passes through Kačerginė and leads riders to Linden Park. That makes the park a convenient pause for water, rest, or a snack on a longer journey beside the Nemunas, not only a destination for visitors arriving by car.

The paths are paved and the terrain appears mostly level, but no official audit covers every surface, kerb, entrance, or item of play equipment. Visitors who require a fully step-free route should ask the eldership about current access conditions before travelling.

July concerts and changing outdoor exhibitions

The Kaunas District Tourism Centre says the park hosts musical July Evenings each year. Its Kačerginė route also mentions the resort festival, music picnics, and creative community gatherings. Concerts under the linden canopy continue the town's culture of outdoor summer leisure, but exact dates and programmes change every year.

Temporary photography exhibitions are another part of the park's identity. One documented example opened in 2019 and displayed 31 historical images of Kaunas between 1919 and 1939 until May 2020. It illustrates how the space is used, but it is not a permanent display; check what, if anything, is on view now.

The resort story is better documented than the park's own origins

Kačerginė developed as a summer retreat in the early twentieth century and was formally recognised as a resort on 16 May 1933. Interwar accounts describe public leisure grounds, outdoor dances, a pavilion, and sports facilities. In 2017, Kačerginė, Kulautuva, and Zapyškis received joint resort-area status.

That background explains why music, walking, and shared outdoor space remain central to Kačerginė's identity. However, official descriptions of Linden Park do not give a founding year or connect its present layout with a specific interwar square. The eldership describes the park as renewed, so it should not be presented as a documented, intact historical park.

The coordinates on this page mark a representative point near the centre of the park; its official address is 4 J. Janonio Street. Although the Nemunas is close, the park is not a formal river viewpoint. Continue to Kačerginė pier if a river panorama is your priority.

Allow 30-60 minutes for a quiet circuit and a rest. With the playground, an outdoor display, or an event, plan 1-2 hours. For a longer outing, combine the park with the Springs Trail, Pranas Mašiotas Fairy-Tale Park, or the cycle route to Zapyškis.

As of 29 July 2026, the official park descriptions listed neither an admission fee nor fixed park opening hours. The hours shown on the tourism page belong to the information centre, not Linden Park. Events can change how paths are used and how quiet the park feels, so check current Kaunas District or eldership announcements.
