A bridge beside Vingis Park
A narrow wooden-plank deck hangs from steel cables over the Minija. It connects the Priekulė II and Gropiškiai setting, with a walk continuing into Vingis Park on one side.
The municipality lists several suspension bridges in Priekulė eldership. These coordinates mark the Priekulė II and Gropiškiai link, not the Dituva or Lankupiai sites.
Crossing rules
Assess the boards, cables and all posted restrictions before crossing. Walk calmly, do not bounce or jump, and walk bicycles.
Do not use the bridge during floods, ice movement, strong wind, icy conditions or a closure. Keep children close and avoid rushed passing on the narrow deck.
Access without harming the banks
The point marks the bridge, not parking. Leave cars legally according to signs and keep Naujoji Street and residential access clear.
Stay on existing paths and avoid trampling slopes. If a board or rail is damaged, or a barrier is present, do not cross.
A riverside route with Vingis Park
On the Priekulė side, the walk can continue into the Vingis Park setting, where the Minija bank is accompanied by mature trees, winding paths and wooden sculptures. The bridge therefore works as a clear edge point for a wider park walk, not merely a quick crossing.
Allow separate time for the bridge and park: a calm crossing takes only several minutes, while exploring the green space takes longer. Do not plan to return by bridges called Dituva or Lankupiai, which are separate sites farther away.
