AWAY Wake parkas, AWAY Wake Park
AWAY beside Elektrėnai Reservoir
AWAY is also known as AWAY Wake parkas. It is a Wake & Chill park beside Elektrėnai Reservoir at Rungos g. 13, Elektrėnai. The cable course, beach and water trampolines are all part of the same park.
The place is defined by open water, cable towers and white obstacles floating on the course. From the shore, first take in the scale of the system: it makes clear that AWAY is built around towed water sports, not ordinary swimming in a pool.
The cable course and wakeboarding
The park lists two cable systems, about 250 m between the towers and a riding section of about 200 m. These are approximate dimensions, so check which course and equipment are running before making a reservation.
The cable principle looks simple, but learning it takes practice: the rider holds a handle while the course pulls across the water and around obstacles. For a first visit, learning to stand, hold a line and return safely matters more than attempting jumps, and the staff's instructions should guide the session.
What else can you do at the park
Alongside wakeboarding, the park offers a water-trampoline park and boating. Swimming, a sandy beach, changing cabins, a children's area and food are also mentioned, but these amenities and activities can change with the season and the park programme.
That makes AWAY useful as a multi-hour active-leisure stop rather than only a single cable run. A group can choose wakeboarding, a family can use the water activities or shore, and spectators can watch the course rhythm, obstacle line and Elektrėnai woodland from the bank.
Safety, ages and preparation
The park rules require a helmet and buoyancy vest. They recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before a reserved activity, or 30 minutes before a boat session. Children under 14 may not be left at the park without adult supervision, so families should decide in advance who will watch children away from the course.
Wakeboarding requires more than swimwear: allow time to learn how to start and how to fall. Follow the instructor, operator and course signs, do not climb obstacles from the water side, and do not change equipment settings without permission.
Planning a visit to AWAY
The park usually operates daily from 11:00-21:00, but opening times, available reservations, prices and weather-related operation can change. Before travelling, check the latest information, select a specific activity and confirm whether a reservation and rental equipment are needed.
Allow 2-4 hours, especially if you want to change, rest on the shore or try another water activity as well as riding. After rain or on a windy day the bank may be slippery, while water temperature and visibility can change quickly, so use suitable footwear and do not rely on an old timetable.
