Objects show how police work changed
Displays include period firearms, protective gear, radio and speed-control equipment, uniforms, and awards. Compare not only their design but the technology of work, from analogue communications to modern information systems.
An object becomes meaningful when linked to its function. Ask how officers received information, documented events, and used different generations of protective clothing rather than only searching for the oldest item.
The BMW motorcycle carries a 2002 state-visit story
One of the museum's notable exhibits is a BMW 1150 RT motorcycle. It escorted United States President George W. Bush's motorcade during his 22–23 November 2002 visit to Lithuania.
The motorcycle opens a discussion of protocol, traffic management, and international-visit security. It is a museum object, not an operational visitor vehicle, so follow on-site approach and photography rules.
Memorial installation and virtual reports
An active-glass and 3D hologram installation commemorates Panevėžys officers murdered by members of the Tulpiniai criminal group. It demands respectful viewing and gives the institutional story a personal, difficult dimension.
The 360-degree VR reports cover an Aras anti-terror operation and a police dog handler's work. A magnetic police-transport puzzle and lightboxes on the national revival and transition from militia to police add other forms of interaction; confirm which devices are operating when booking.
The museum's 2025 scale
In 2025 the museum recorded 1,260 objects, 3,025 visitors, 28 educational sessions, and three events. It occupies 130 sq. m, including 125 sq. m of exhibition space, explaining its compact and information-dense character.

Registration, hours, and planning a visit
Visitors are admitted Tuesday–Friday 10:00–18:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00; the museum is closed Sunday and Monday. Advance registration is required; groups are limited to 15, and school groups start at age 13. Ask about the admission price and VR access by calling +370 646 33 569.
